Lego Minifigures Series 2

Okay I will admit that I am a bit of a Lego junky and that these Lego minifigures series 2 are probably one of my absolute most favorite additions to the Lego world since I don’t know when. Lego minifigures, for those of you not in the know, are basically a collection of random Lego figures that are usually inspired by movies or real life. The Lego minifigures series 2 are never featured in any sort of Lego set and comes in a package which contains a random character! Honestly I think that the coolest part about these figures is that they are totally unique and really add a fun factor that is new to the Lego world.

Which Ones Can I Buy?

Lego has decided to go with a model whereby you buy individually wrapped figures which contain surprise characters. I think that this is a really interesting approach for Lego who have traditionally stuck to a more “what you see is what you get” sort of idea. These Lego minifigures series 2 come in all sorts of different styles and include the following potential characters: Life Guard, Karate Master, Explorer, Disco Dude, Witch, Weight Lifter, Vampire, Traffic Cop, Surfer, Spartan, Warrior, Skier, Ringmaster, Pop Star, Pharaoh, Mime or a Mariachi. The selection, as you can see, is really diverse and very different from the original series 1.

Lego Minifigures Series 2 – What is Included?

Lego minifigures series 2 include a display plate and collectors pamphlet which positions these little guys as more of a collectors item then a play toy. Personally I think that the inclusion of these items is unnecessary because for most children they will be used to supplement their existing Lego sets. However if you are a collector of Lego then these Lego minifigures series 2 would prove to be a good addition because of the added bonuses. Because these guys have never been included in sets before there is a high chance that in the future they could become collectible and worth a little bit of money although this is only a slight chance.

I like the fact that Lego has positioned these to directly rival the card trading games and ideas thus making Lego relevant once again in an ever changing world of whats cool and hip. Lego Minifigures Series 2 are a great addition to any Lego collectors set and if you want to keep them as a collectible also come with some great little bonuses to help you do so. Since they have not been found in any sets before they are a unique and low cost way of getting some fun new characters into your sets. Depending on which character you ultimately get I think they look like a lot of fun. If you know anyone who is a Lego fanatic then I am sure they will have heard of the Lego minifigures series 2 but if they haven’t, then let them know!
