It is quite funny sometimes how pop culture item eventually makes it so big in the world that an item is made after it. The Angry Birds plush toy is one of those amazing examples where a product is made after the amazing success of something. Angry Birds, for those of you who do not already know is a very popular mobile game available on iOS and Android. The game is insanely popular and now more often than not is the measuring stick by which all other games are held too. When we first got wind of the Angry Birds plush toy it struck as a little odd and mainstream for something so irreverent as the Angry Birds game but overtime we have come to realize that this is the perfect tie in!
Angry Birds Plush – Which Ones are Available?
When the developer, Rovio, announced that they would be releasing Angry Birds plush toys the obvious first question that was thrown out there was what characters would be included? For right now it appears that the Angry Birds plush toys will be available in red, black, blue, yellow and white. It makes total sense that the company would focus first and foremost on making the main characters into plush toys first but we also want to know when we will be able to get our hands on the piggies! Most fans also know that the birds themselves are also somewhat crazy and after looking at a couple of the prototypes I think it is safe to say they have retained that aloof appearance which is a good thing. Rovio has done a good job making them appear genuine and not just some cheap product tie in which is rare these days.
Angry Birds Plush – When Will They Be Out?
The Angry Birds plush toys unfortunately do not have a set release date yet but we are certainly holding out for a proper holiday launch hopefully just in time. Rovio has not committed to any sort of release schedule or even pricing arrangements. In fact Rovio has not even announced where you will be able to get these Angry Bird plush toys. Right now we can only speculate that all the major online e-tailers and toy stores will have access to them but keep it tuned here because as we get more information we will be sure to post it to the site.
We were actually quite surprised when Rovio let it out that they would be bringing the Angry Birds into the real world via plush toys because they seemed so cult like but it makes total sense. Unlike most product marketing gimmicks based off popular games or videos, these Angry Bird plush toys we think will be a huge smash hit.
